Toronto, ON – The 2013 DMC Toronto Regional DJ Battle (presented by DMC Canada) went down on Thursday, Aug. 29 inside the Drake Underground. The stakes were high with the first place DJ moving on to compete at the 2013 Canadian DMC National DMC Championships. The DJs mixed, scratched and juggled through their 6 minute turntablism sets.

DMC Canada’s judging panel consisting of Total Eclipse (X-Ecutioners), DJ Dopey (2003 DMC World Champion) and the TurnStylez (DJ Grouch & D-Scratch) ranked the DJs as follows:

1) Cancer the Crab
2) DJ Jooce
3) DJ Rix

While the judges tallied the final scores, DJ Vekked our 2012 DMC World Supremacy Champion and Total Eclipse of the world renown X-Ecutioners dazzled the crowd with their showcases.

DMC Canada issued this message at the end of the competition:

“DMC Canada would like to everyone who came out to support the Toronto Regional! Special thanks to DJ Vekked, Total Eclipse, DJ Dopey, D-Scratch, DJ Grouch, DJ Law and Bozack Morris for holding down another event with us!”
