Vancouver, BC – If The-Dream made anything clear to his Vancouver audience, it’s that he wants a fast car, a dope bitch, and he could give a fuck about the foreplay. In a performance truly worthy of a slow jam Sunday, the singer/songwriter captivated ears and hearts with sexy lyricism, slightly less sexy pelvic thrusts, and the smooth dreamy sounds of a real performer.

The-Dream came out swinging, leading almost immediately into “Dope Bitch” before moving on to “Shawty is a 10″ – a reminder that little girls grow up into dimes, so you should remember to “tip her, you should tip her.” The audience ate up every word of romantic-ish tracks like “IV Play,” and enjoyed the range of The Dream’s voice with “Falsetto” – he even rocked a Bell Biv DeVoe cover to round out the experience. Overall, a great show, albeit with some technical sound difficulties. Plenty of baby-making music, plenty of booze… one can only imagine how the Sunday night ended for the starry-eyed Vancouver crowd.

Check out some more exclusive photos of the concert after the jump.

Amalia Judith was born in Winnipeg, MB and quickly whisked away to a childhood of travel throughout California, England, Germany and predominantly Pakistan. In 2006 she completed an honor's degree in English Literature, which left her quite jobless and alone in East Van. Amalia cut her teeth at abortmag.com, Canada's darkest counter-culture magazine, moving on to contribute words and flicks to HipHopCanada: she's currently a member of HipHopCanada's West Coast team and has had the privilege to interview hip-hop icons like Lil' Kim, Pusha T, Big Boi, Three Six Mafia, Yelawolf, Pharrell Williams and most of Wu-Tang. Amalia also works as a Key Worker educator and advocate for families affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, as well as heading up Team Heartbreak, a media production company that pairs community involvement and artistic movements.
