Vancouver, BC – The hip-hop scene out in Vancouver can seem small when compared to bigger cities like Toronto or even LA but the sense of community has real potential for growth. Vancity Live is a recently birthed, Vancouver based talk-show that has the intention of bringing like-minded people in the industry together to form discussions, drop verses and have a little fun.

The premiere of Vancity Live was recently broadcast live via YouTube this past Sunday and had a couple of our very own team members showing their faces and dropping some knowledge. Executive Editor Amalia Jude was part of a discussion panel sharing her thoughts on the state of Vancouver’s hip-hop scene alongside Red1 and Matt Brevner and West Coast Editor KassKills was host to the first episode with HipHopVancouver’s Josh and Ja. Besides that, performances from Emotionz, Checkmate & Concise, Tonye Aganaba, Evil Ebenezer and so many more brought the whole vibe together and a special pre-recorded freestyle from Tha Dogg Pound’s Kurupt brought the episode over the edge of epic. Check out the premiere of Vancity Live below and stay tuned for more episodes to come.
