Elevated Etiquette returns to Koi on Nov. 29 [News]

Calgary, AB – On Nov. 29, Jazzlib Collective and ContraVerse Crew link up again for this month’s edition of Elevated Etiquette. After reeling in so much success from the Freestylimpics earlier on this year, the two crews joined forces to start up EE in July. It’s been going down at Koi (1011 – 1 St SW) on the last Friday of every month, ever since. The evening serves as training ground for artists of all calibres and experience-levels.

Newbie MCs can hone their skills in a non-judgmental environment, while seasoned pros can test the waters outside of their typical comfort zones and provide guidance to beginners. And if you want to try your hand at freestyling, this is the place to learn how to do it. Peep event details after the jump.

It all starts at 8 p.m. There will be an open mic open for those who sign up, as well as a special performance by the Cellar Door duo (Shelby Leiding and ContraVerse’s own Twizzie). DJ Jayzen and Dustin Def will be on the turntables throughout the evening. For more information about EE, peep this interview that HipHopCanada’s Stefan Lewis did with Rebeccah Dawn (of the ContraVerse Crew) back in September or head over to the event’s Facebook page. We’ll see you all there.
