King Khan & Lottah Chops – Made in CGY Vol. 1 [Mixtape]

Calgary, ABKing Khan and Lottah Chops have teamed up to drop their Made in CGY Vol. 1 mixtape. The project fuses a bit of hip-hop with a good dose of dancehall, pop vocals, and R&B crooning. Give it a listen after the jump and head over to DatPiff to cop a free download of it.

The tape is extensive – 24 tracks, to be exact. So you may want to book off the week if you’re planning on giving the tape a full listen.

Made in CGY Vol. 1 is a mashup of sexy R&B joints, a few hard rhymes, and a bunch of turned up reggae jams (and maybe even a couple of tracks to dagger to). The tape balances Lottah Chops’ soulful feminine vocals with King Khan’s blend of reggae-laced dancehall hip-hop. Is that even a genre? It is now. And they make CeeLo Green kind of relevant again, with their own rendition of “F*ck You” (featuring Lottah’s own sassy-pants take on the vocals).
