Rapping for Grades: Carleton student goes in on the Periodic Table [Video]
Ottawa, ON – Carleton University’s Professor Bob Burk likes to end the fall term of his first-year Chemistry (CHEM 1001) class on a high note… or possibly a low note depending on the student. Each year, Professor Burk offers his first-year students the opportunity to earn extra credit if they can rap, sing or otherwise melodically speed their way through the Periodic Table of Elements during the last class of the term. And every year a few enthusiastic students take up the challenge. Check out Austin de Ste Croix’s impressive Periodic Table rap over a classic instrumental.
