Toronto, ON – Toronto’s Hydeff (aka: the “Shady Shaman”) recently released his latest track “Jinn Iblis.” This track hears the psychedelics-obsessed rapper spitting in somber – yet deadly – tones over a dark beat produced by T.O. producer, XVVIXR. It’s only fitting that the title of this gloomy track roughly translates to “mischievous spirit.”

Hydeff is known for always keeping his bars tight, and his metaphors sharp. So it’s no surprise that “Jinn Iblis” features tons of razor-blade rhyme combos that will definitely take even the most adroit listener multiple plays to decipher. Check it out below.

One of the reasons Hydeff is taking Toronto’s underground hip-hop scene by storm is because of his personal, funny and grippy-as-hell lyricism: “Visions through the eyes of Moloch/ Diary of a Warlock/ Raise your hands if you’re tired of bein’ robots/ In a town that’s full of clowns/ That’s proud to be with the know-nots.”

It’s impossible to deny the gravity of Hydeff’s anti-establishment flow. Hydeff was recently featured on fellow T.O. rhymer Rez Raida’s Without A Doubt project, and there’s no telling where Hydeff will pop up next.
