LRev – When I Was Up [Video]

Calgary, ABLRev has been on his grind lately. The Calgary MC (who’s also one half of the Myriad duo) dropped a really sweet Hot 16 on Christmas. And today he released new visuals for his track “When I Was Up.” This track is realest of real talk. LRev hits us with some raw verses about the pains of dealing with ambivalent fans – you know, the fans who listen to records and don’t buy albums, or only show love at the shows. And the track is laced over a sick beat by Tellingbeatzz that samples “I Wouldn’t Treat A Dog (The Way You Treated Me)” by Bobby “Blue” Bland. So it’s got that whole soulful moody vibe going for it, too.

The video was produced by Brando Beats and Kelly Hofer, and the track was recorded and engineered by Brody Mudryk at Standstill Studios. Check it out below. And keep it locked because the debut Myriad project is coming out in 2014.
