Billionaire B – Canadian Nights & Domaine Romanee [Review]

Vancouver, BC - Billionaire B pays his respects to the true North and to exquisite French wine with a stellar, chilled -out 18 track album titled Canadian Nights & Domaine Romanee Conti. Sexy hooks, smooth beats and a laid back flow, this is one to pair with something nice to smoke, a bottle of something expensive and someone fly to get comfortable with. You feel where this is going? You don’t always have to throw on The Weeknd after dark to get your girl in the mood. Aside from several interludes scattered throughout this can be listened to top to bottom while you practice making babies…assuming ya’ll can make it last for 18 tracks.

B starts off on some heartbreak shit over a screeching guitar sample on “Lost Love” eventually leading into the album’s most notable track featuring L.A’s own rising star Jhene Aiko. How you feelin’ though Drake? With the complimentary crooning of Miss Aiko, B holds it down on “Angel” appropriately released on Valentine’s Day, because clearly this one is for the lovers.

Vancity Beats gets his way with bonus track closer “3 Girlfriends” where BB recalls his three most memorable baby girls over a hauntingly melodic production while another Vancity boy, J. Dohe, makes two appearances for “Kush High” and bonus track “Vibin’ (Vancity Remix)”. Dividing his time between L.A, Detroit and Vancity it’s a pretty good look for the North West to have this up-and-comer reppin’ for us.
