Toronto, ON – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Toronto’s Brotha J gives listeners a return to real R&B by covering Ready For The World’s classic ballad, “Love You Down.” With a voice and style likened to that of D’Angelo, Bilal and Prince, his soulful rendition of this R&B classic is both passionate and fiery.

Listeners know Brotha J’s soulful voice from one of the hottest ‘90s R&B acts in Canada, and member of the first Canadian Boy Band, Too Bad To Be True. He already has a JUNO Award under his belt as well as a wide range of performance experience, having shared the stage with some of music’s most prolific artists, from the likes of Pete Rock & CL Smooth to the iconic James Brown. Also known for penning and performing the soulful hooks for various Toronto MCs, including Dan-e-o, SepTo, Grimace Love, and Point Blank, Brotha J is quickly becoming one of the city’s most sought after vocalists.

His 2012 mixtape, YouAlreadyKnowMe, was his re-introduction to the world, and offered listeners a blend of stirring, soulful vocals. The project is also an autobiographical piece and gives the listener an in-depth look into the artist.
