HHC X Beat Street West X Shaolin Sundays: Win tickets to the Golden Tour in Calgary [Contest]

Calgary, AB – We recently made the announcement that the Golden Tour is rolling through Calgary on Feb. 25. That is— Relic, GhettoSocks, and Fresh Kils will be in the YYC at Dickens Pub (1000 – 9 Ave SW) to set things off. Three Canadian rap game heavy weights, and good music all throughout the night.

So because we like to get in on these things, HipHopCanada has teamed up with our good friends over at Beat Street West and Shaolin Sundays to bring you a ticket giveaway. We have three – yes, three – pairs of tickets to give away to three lucky winners. Check out contest entry details after the jump.

To enter to win a pair of tickets, tweet us at @HipHopCanada and @knottedroots and @djcosm with the hashtag #TheGoldenTourYYC, along your favourite track by either Relic, Ghettosocks or Fresh Kils. And easy as that, you’ll be entered in on the sweepstakes. But here’s the catch: we won’t be announcing our winners online, like we usually do.

You’ll have to tune in to the Knotted Roots show (on CJSW 90.9 FM) on Feb. 23 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. (MDT) to find out if you won (Side note: if you’re too hip for radios, you can stream CJSW programming online). Knotted Roots’ own Stefan Lewis will announce the winners over the airwaves next week. And if you don’t get in on those free tickets, you can always pay at the door. Cover is $10 and doors to the venue open at 9 p.m.

For more event information, peep the event’s official Facebook page. And don’t forget to tune in to CJSW every Sunday afternoon (like today, maybe) for some of the freshest hip-hop around. Stefan gets things going with the Knotted Roots show from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. (MDT). And then DJ Cosm brings it with the Mental Illness show from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. (MDT). That’s right. Straight-up hip-hop and urban jams. Every single Sunday afternoon. It’s one of life’s little pleasures. You can stream the shows online via the CJSW website.
