Tom & Laura Misch – Follow (Remix) ft. Kayo [Audio]

Halifax, NS – Halifax’s own Kayo just dropped a sweet new remix of a track entitled “Follow” by Tom & Laura Misch. Apparently Kayo was lurking around SoundCloud and came across this particular track by London, U.K. brother-and-sister duo, Tom and Laura Misch. Being the dude that he is, Kayo decided he would do a remix of the track and drop some verses. Because, why not?

Kind of makes sense, though. Kayo got his first big break on radio in St Lucia by collaborating with a jazz group called Sisterhood. So dude’s got soul in his soul. Cop a listen below and head over to SoundCloud to peep more Kayo tuneage. Or download his September-released S.L.A.V.E. EP via Bandcamp.

Something about the way Kayo is able to take a British jazz joint and turn it into a classy little hip-hop track is kind of mind-blowing. I don’t even know if hip-hop heads do those fancy candlelit dinner shindigs. But if they do, this is the song to do it to. It’s one of the swankiest tunes that I’ve heard (so far) this year.
