Michie Mee brings her Bahdgyal Bubble to the #BigTicket stage to show the crowd why she’s the Queen B. What can be said about this “Cover Girl” that hasn’t been said already. If it wasn’t for her, none of us would be doing this today! Kardinal Offishall claims Michie is the influence for his style and Maestro has said he followed her foot steps and got into acting because of her. This 2-time JUNO nominated artist performed “Say It Right” at the 2006 American Music Awards with Nelly Furtado and just may be Canada’s most collaborated artist / producer. Despite only releasing 2 solo albums, Saukrates, aka BiggSoxx, has a number of solo hits and classics like “Farther Time,” “Money Or Love,” “Hate Runs Deep” and “Coming Up.” He has spent the majority of his career producing and guesting on other artist records and making hits like “On The Run” with k-os. He was singed to Redman’s Gilla House records where he produced a joints like “Drop It Down” for Redman as well as the Red and Meth smoothed out “Ay Yo.” Working both North and South of the border, and with everyone from Drake to Andreena, his most recent collaborations have him “Stylin” with Shad and Maestro. Getting set to release his 3rd solo LP, Soxx is at home on stage and is amped to rock #BigTicket Saturday, March 15.
Once a member of hip-hop group BrassMunk, King Reign went solo, recorded some hit singles, put out the solid Reign Music EP in 2009 and just released Reign Music vol. 2. Along the way, he’s worked with the likes of Rich Kldd, Drake, Saukrates, Pharoahe Monch and more. He also chose to exit a deal with Sony Music in favor of shaping his own destiny. Though currently untitled, his first solo LP is coming this year and it has been named #18 on Exclaim’s Top 20 Most Anticipated Canadian LPs of 2014.
With only two years under his belt as an independent recording artist and no full-length project released as of yet, Goliath Paw is establishing a huge online presence with a loyal following of fans he likes to call his “Pawtners.”
Nicknamed “Mr. Rock Pop & Hip-Hop,” Goliath Paw combines his love of classic / alternative rock and mainstream pop, all while adding his own unique style of raps to the mix. Saturday, March 15 he will be celebrating the release of his Canary In A Coal Mine EP with a special performance. Peep the debut video Buried Alive here:
