Gabriel Lis – Bright Nights [Audio]

Toronto, ON – Only a few weeks ago, Torontonian producer Gabriel Lis dropped his instrumental track “Bright Nights,” which appears on his recently released full length album entitled T.O.T.O. II.

If there’s one thing that continues to impress me in the hip-hop game, it is – no doubt – artists and producers who sport all-out versatility. With this instrumental (that sounds better aligned to be featured on the soundtrack for a big-budget major-motion picture), Gabriel Lis drops two interconnect beats that give listeners a wonderful sample of his duplicitous styles. Check it out.

On Side A of “Bright Nights,” Lis’ soulful production dons an elegant sports jacket and pops a bottle of crisp champagne as we’re set on our way to a classy suit-and-tie affair.

But as soon as the “Bright Nights” flips over for Side B, Lis’ sound explodes onto our eardrums with a much more aggressive and sternum-shaking sound. It elevates this Toronto-based producer’s sound to altitudes higher than many of his cohorts.

One of the things I admire in particular about “Bright Nights” is that even without words, Lis’ production delivers a chilling and undeniably inspirational feel that warms the heart. Do yourself a favour and check out the rest of Gabriel Lis’ T.O.T.O. II, you won’t be disappointed.
