Kori Vision – Doin Bad ft. Ramsay Almighty [Audio]

Waterloo, ON – Kori Vision‘s latest track (featuring the homie Ramsay Almighty) entitled “Doin Bad” oozes ounces of swag over top this crisp beat produced by Cian P.

When it comes to representing the North, hip-hop seldom surfaces in the lofty northern extremities of Ontario. But in 2013, quite a few young talented voices hailing from Waterloo (like Young Lung’s) came out setting the bar high. And with this latest release from Kori Vision and Ramsay Almighty, we can be sure that Ontario’s northern hip-hop scene is beginning to balloon out-of-control. Check the track out below.

Kori Vision – Doin Bad ft. Ramsay Almighty-

Since its early years, hip-hop has existed as an incredibly region-specific art-form in that rappers hailing from all over the United States have inadvertently – or purposefully- made everything from their flows to outfits representative of what state they’re from.

One of the things that continues to fascinate me about the modern day hip-hop scene is that we’re hearing more and more rappers emerging from all around the globe who sport rhyming styles birthed in locations considered “exotic” in respect to their origins.

Kori Vision and Ramsay Almighty’s “Doin’ Bad” is no exception here as this drum-laden song sounds closer to something that Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania representer Wiz Khalifa would release. Rapping with all-out youthful exuberance, hearing Kori Vision saying things like “I’m spending time doing dumb shit/ Like reading books/ And dumb shit.” “Doin Bad” is comical, down to earth and fresh in its scope.
