Pimpton on the MuchVibe charts with “Pom Pom Wit Killa Inside” [News]

Regina, SK – MuchVibe recently put Pimpton’s “Pom Pom Wit Killa Inside” into rotation and the video is already up there on the charts. Which is huge. HipHopCanada posted the video for “Pom Pom Wit Killa Inside” back when it dropped in December 2013. So we’re glad to see it being picked up by MuchVibe and getting some shine. Pimpton’s M.O. is hot-boxed trappy bangers, but the visuals for this track introduce us to the seedier dark underbelly of Pimpton. The video was directed by Be El Be and the beat was produced by Suede.

This is Pimpton’s second MuchVibe-featured video in the last year. The first was his Andre Nickatina-assisted “Little Darrell” joint. Pimpton is based in Regina, SK, and also works within the C.J.E. crew. He went on a bit of a mixtape-making-binge last year and cranked out two super fresh (and really extensive) tapes.

“It’s progress. [And it] lets me know I’m heading in the right direction,” said Pimpton. “Having a vid in rotation means I can expand my audience, which ultimately, means more fans.”

And just so you know – that C.J.E. compilation project that our dudes have been teasing us with for the better part of the last year is probably going to drop this year. It will feature some of Saskatchewan’s bests: Ursa Maja, BlackTop, Malfunction, and – of course – Pimpton.

Check out “Pom Pom Wit Killa Inside” over on MuchVibe, and if you’ve still managed to sleep on Pimpton’s Killa Call Me Killa Vol. 1 tape, you should go cop a download ASAFP.

And check out the homie over on CBC’s Searchlight 2014 contest; holding things down for Regina.
