ZANE – Eartha [Video]
Toronto, ON – ZANE may be one of the newer faces to emerge on the Screw Face Capital’s hip-hop scene. But after watching the visuals for this rapper’s latest tack – “Eartha” – you’re sure to be left thinking about this chameleon MC.
Alternating between a southern, chopped-and-screwed sound, and monotone rhymes, ZANE achieves a careful balance of swag and substance on the video’s brief two-minute and 46 second running time. One of the most admirable things about the visual treatment for “Eartha” is the extremely non-conventional approach ZANE takes to delivering his bars. His face is often obscured by television distortion bars. So it’s clear that ZANE has a high-reaching artistic vision for himself and his visuals. Check it out.
As far as introductions go, ZANE – who is both a producer and MC – makes a great impression on “Eartha” with lines like “ZANE/ Consistently understated/ Understated only when I’m kissin’/ Silly faed.”
With wavy visuals on a fresh track like “Eartha,”we can only hope that the summer of 2014 will be hearing a lot more from ZANE.
