GiNZ – Barrage (Prod. EZ-A) [Audio]

Toronto, ON – The homie GiNZ has just dropped a new EZ-A-produced track – “Barrage” – that he’s been sitting on for a year. It was time to drop this joint, though. Because EZ-A just dropped his #DeadPrince remix EP which samples this particular beat. So it made sense for GiNZ to deliver his audio for us, too. “Barrage” has got an East Indian feel to it. And as the track’s name suggests, it’s this hungry we-comin’-at-you vibe. Check it below.

Also “barrage” is one of my favourite words. It just rolls off the tongue better than “bombard” or something. ‘Na mean? And there is some excellent wordplay on here, too. Like when GiNZ compares his rap lines to serial barcode lines. Or when he says he’s a gargoyle because he watches the night come alive. And then GiNZ is all like, “My chick got ass/ Like Nicki/ We Minaj.” I don’t even know what that means. But it is a great line. Because reasons. And Nicki Minaj’s trunk junk is always relevant.
