Mase0ne and CKXU present: Can She Kick It? Yes She Can! in Lethbridge [News]

Lethbridge, AB – Our homies at Mase0ne over in Lethbridge have teamed up with the local CKXU campus radio station to bring us the ultimate femcee appreciation night: Can She Kick It? Yes She Can! on Apr. 12 at The Army and Navy (517 – 5 Ave S). This is Lethbridge’s first ever female-driven hip-hop night. And it’s going to be dope to the maximum. Calgary’s own hip-hop honey, Nki Louise is headlining the show with RoleModel.

Doors open at 9 p.m. Opening support for the evening will be provided by Pzeudo, Sam Mackey, Mwansa, and spoken-word artist Emma Ladouceur. Dr Drea will be DJing throughout the evening, with NickName providing support as the set DJ. Check out all the details after the jump.

Advance tickets are $8, and tickets at-the-door are $10. You can purchase your tickets at Blue Print Records (519 – 4 Ave S), Borderline (619 – 4 Ave S), CKXU headquarters (SU-164, 4401 University Dr. W), and B.O.B. headquarters (327 – 5 St. S). And if you cop those tickets in advance, you’ll be entered to win some swag. And everyone loves swag. It also looks like the folks over at B.O.B. are donating a giant glass bong for some lucky bong-enthusiast to win. Bongity-bong-bong.

But seriously. It’s so dope to see this kind of thing going down. Mad love to all the femcees on the come-up. And mad love to Mase0ne and CKXU for giving the ladies a night of their own.

About Nki Louise

From her quiet soft spoken poetry, all the way to her fresh coast dub step and high energized stage presence. She brings more than just a new plate to the table of hip hop, Nki-Louise turns heads whether it be her raging “In Your Face” style of rap, silencing crowds with her painfully structured R&B solos, or hitting the stage at a Hip Hop show with her acoustic guitar reciting her spoken word. She makes you listen, she digs into your heart, she makes you look.
