Pizzy Only – $tayin True (Prod. DJ Smokey) [Audio]

Kitchener, ON – Kitchener’s own Pizzy Only just dropped the fourth and final single leading up to the release of his DeathxDontxDiscriminatex project. The track is called “$tayin True” and it’s two parts real-talk introspection, and one part rap game mockery.

So the mockery part of this joint was gold. Pizzy’s all like, “This the part of the song where I get real ignorant.” But I missed this line during my first listen-around. And I was like, “Wow this Pizzy Only dude really has some unsavoury ways of stayin’ true.” And then I listened to the track again. And I laughed. Because I realized that he was poking fun at all of the rap cats who try too hard to be hard (i.e.: not true to themselves) by versing about doing the dirty with everyone, and beefing at famous people, and stuff like that. Also, can we please take a minute to appreciate that DJ Smokey production? Too good.
