Win tickets to see Bizarre Ride Live with Slum Village at Commonwealth on Apr. 24 [Contest]

Calgary, ABUpdated Apr. 18, 2014 – Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Welcome To Dillaville Tour has been postponed across Canada. The Apr. 24 show in Calgary has been cancelled.

On April 24, our friends over at Commonwealth Bar and Stage and 10 at 10 are taking Calgary down to Dillaville. The double headlining Welcome to Dillaville show brings together two former Pharcyde members, and Slum Village to celebrate all things Dilla.

Local acts Meeko G (featured here last month) and Dion Lynch (also recently featured on HipHopCanada) will add in some of that local flavour, as well. And HipHopCanada has teamed up with 10 at 10 to give away two tickets to the show. Check out the details after the jump.

The night is full of little bonuses for hip-hop heads, too. Founding and former Pharcyde members Fatlip and Slimkid3 will be on the mic, with Bizarre Ride producers J-Sw!ft and LA Jay manning keys and tables. Legendary West Coast graffiti artist SLICK is art-directing the stage design. And on top of all of that, the Slum set is one that YYC hip-hop fans have been teased with in the past. And it is finally right around the corner. (In case you missed it, Slum Village had to cancel their scheduled Calgary appearance last year).

To enter our contest for a pair of tickets, simply post the event flyer to your Twitter or Instagram and tell us why you think you should win. Don’t forget to tag us (@HipHopCanada and @10at10Calgary), using the hashtag #Dillaville so we know you’ve entered.

Fear not, if you’re not the gambling type. You can still cop tickets online at Zoobis or the locations listed on the Facebook event page. Good luck Calgs! See you at Commonwealth Apr. 24.
