True Rhythm presents Onyx “Wakedafucup Album Release Tour” in Calgary [News]

Calgary, ABOriginally published May 20, 2014 – On Aug. 15, our fam over at True Rhythm bring Onyx‘s Wakedafucup Album Release Tour to Dickens Pub in Calgary. The East Coast rap crew (Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr, sans Sonny Seeza) are fresh off the release of their latest studio album, Wakedafucup.

Fingaz and Starr linked up with the producing Snowgoons crew for the project and dropped it back in March. While hip-hop is starting to embrace softer rap elements (shout-out to soft rap, by the way – it’s great), Onyx takes it all back to the grimier elements of the rap game with some solid horrorcore, anecdotal narratives, and – of course – those gnarly Snowgoons beats. Check out the official event flyer and peep event details after the jump.
