Guy Bombardo – In The Shadows [EP]

Calgary, AB – Calgary’s master-producer, Guy Bombardo, recently hit us with his debut four-track EP release entitled In The Shadows. You guys remember Bombardo, right? He won the Beat Street West producer battle in Calgary in August 2013. In The Shadows was released via Hub the Supreme Hustle through Beatport. Head over here to cop a download of the EP. Or stream it for your listening pleasure below.

I’ve become a huge fan of these nice condensed debut EPs; by putting fewer tracks on to a debut release, an artist ensures that they are putting fourth their best work. Guy also uses these four joints (“Gimme Dat Money,” “I Want,” “Put A Shell In Ya,” and “Wild Boy”) to show us what he’s all about: synth-laced hard-hitting 808-fueled bangers. And he manages to get that across in a short 11-minute span that is the length of the EP. Now I just want to listen to more Guy Bombardo beats.

Hey MCs. I got a public service announce for you: y’all need to cop a listen to this. These beats turn ish up to a whole other level. If you’re looking to crank out some bangers, Guy’s got your beats covered. I’m already itching for someone to get in on that “Wild Boy” joint. It’s got a BPM of 150. By the way. Ugh. Someone needs to be on this A$AP Rocky. Please. And thank you.
