Kirsten Olivia – Stay Away ft. Kayo [Audio]
Halifax, NS – East Coast R&B songstress, Kirsten Olivia, just dropped the lead single from her soon-to-be released EP, The Here And Now (T.H.A.N). The track, “Stay Away” features a warm introduction and rap verse from HipHopCanada regular, Kayo. Kirsten even spits a couple bars herself!
“The song is a really fun summer jam, influenced by 90’s hip-hop/R&B. Yogi (Da Producer) was able to really capture the vibe I wanted,” said Olivia. “His skill, combined with a Timbaland drum sample brought me to my happy place! Kayo’s verse added the perfect touch and really completed the track.”
Kirsten Olivia will release The Here And Now via digital download on July 4. The six-track EP features the production of Johann “YogiDaProducer” Deterville, as well as artwork by Seamz, and photography by Kay Dorrington. “The project is an ode to the past, learning from it, leaving it where it belongs, and experiencing the present in a positive light,” said Olivia.
