Stankowski – Right Now ft. Marvin Divine [Audio]

Calgary, AB – Calgary’s young stunner on the come-up – Stankowski – just dropped the first single off his forthcoming debut mixtape (due out this summer). This joint is titled “Right Now.” And it was produced by Bamfibeats.

So here’s the deal: Stankowski is only 17 years old. I have huge respect for the young cats putting themselves into the game. His flow is still maturing. But he’s got this infectious happy-go-lucky vibe going for him. He compares it to the Gym Class Heroes. I feel that. And peppy vibes aside, this track is actually really hungry. Happy hungry. I mean listen to that Marvin Divine hook: “I gotta get it right now/ Gotta get it right now.” Also some solid word-play going on here. Like when Stankowski’s all like, “Gettin’ green/ Like CeeLo” (because – you know – CeeLo Green). Or when he compares himself to John Stamos. Pure gold. Check it below.
