Dreamville presents: The Fiends Pre-Game with Bas in Toronto today [News]
Toronto, ON – Late last year, we introduced Canada to Bas while he was in Toronto, opening on the What Dreams May Come tour. If you’ve not already familiarized yourself with the Fiend/Dreamville artist/rapper/cool ass person, you can play a quick game of catch-up here. That’s still not enough, and you can’t just sit there and bask in the greatness. So, don’t. In case you forgot, Bas is headlining his own tour; Last Winter Tour, and will be performing in Toronto tonight at Tattoo Queen West. Tickets are still available for purchase here.
Really though, what kind of person would I be if I didn’t let you know that you could kick it with Bas and The Super Mookin’ Fiends tonight before the show? Fiends are invited to a free pre-game taking place at Get Fresh Co. (498 Queen Street West) tonight from 7 p.m. -9 p.m. with music courtesy of HustleGRL. See you there!
Already two mixtapes deep with Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. I and Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. II, Bas is also celebrating the success of “properly” releasing an album. If you were ever looking for something to bump while getting “mooked”, then look no further. And by that, I mean: you’re probably already mooked, don’t exert yourself. In April, Last Winter dropped (which is also available to stream on Soundcloud). While some choose to call it by its name, the project has also been recognized as “An Album From A N*gga Who Ain’t Got A Lot of Fans Yet“. Needless to say, it’s dope as hell, and Bas has surely come into his own. Dreamville has a gem on their hands, for real. You can hear it in the delivery, and since you’re probably already listening, you can’t deny you’re rocking out. One of my personal favourite tracks has to be “Mook In New Mexico” – the song turns up, and being able to scream “be alert, be alert” makes me feel things. Hood things. Mob things.
But okay, I get it, you’re a true Fiend, and sometimes just having audio isn’t enough. Which works out in your favour, because Bas just happens to have 5 visuals, all for tracks off of his newest release. To make this more of a cinematic experience for you, we’ve got some teasers here:
