JellyTooFly – Better Plan (Prod. Hungree) [Audio]

Toronto, ON – Toronto’s gritty hip-hop honey – JellyTooFly – just hit us with her latest single entitled “Better Plan” off her new Executive Decisions project. Jelly gets into some raw storytelling that brings us into the world of a boy growing up in the hood. But it rolls deeper than that. The boy’s life story parallels Jelly’s own life story. And then there’s that hard-hitting “Thinking to myself/ There has to be a better plan for me” hook at the end of the track that brings it all full-circle.

This is one part introspection, one part inspiration, and one part started-from-the-bottom. Jelly says it, herself, in the intro: “It’s the same story, man/ We all go through it.” That’s too true, though. Because this joint is more than just the story of Jelly – it’s the story of doing what you have to do in hopes of getting to where you want to get. The track was produced by Hungree and mixed by Herdthetrains. Check it below.
