Maxal Tha Best – Harriet ft. F. Virtue & Chynna (Prod. Drainpuppet) [Audio]

Penticton, BC – Penticton-based rapper, Maxal Tha Best, recently teamed up with F. Virtue, Chynna, and producer Drainpuppet to hit us with a new record entitled “Harriet.” I don’t know if you cats remember, but I caught up with F. Virtue (who is a former Calgarian, now based in New York), last year for a chop-up about what it’s like to be a gay MC. Well, Maxal is also a gay MC. And he hits us hard with this joint: “We out here yelling we out here/ While there’s kids afraid to be out out here.”

I mean – look at that lyricism. That’s about so much more than sexual orientation. That’s universal. That’s about being afraid to be yourself. I think most cats can feel that on some level. And just so you know – this record also comes to us along with Maxal’s debut Glass Children album, which was released via SoundCloud. So peep “Harriet” below, and head over here to cop a download of the new album.
