Saukrates – The Big Bang [Video]

Toronto, ON Saukrates recently hit us with a double-whammy. In addition to dropping his new Amani EP, Bigg Soxx also dropped a video for the track titled “The Big Bang.” This track is the last joint off Amani. And it hits you with a bang. Seriously.

The “Big Bang” explains how the universe came to be. And Soxx is setting off “The Big Bang” to establish his Canadian rap game comeback. It seems he’s planning to take everything you know about Canadian hip-hop, and he’s going to flip it back-asswards. Think of this joint as the trailer for what’s to come on Soxx’s forthcoming album drop (Eeeeps!). The video was directed by JTRUE. Check it after the jump. And go buy the Amani EP.

The track was produced by Rich Kidd, with co-production courtesy of Soxx. The video itself features a silhouette of Soxx that is backdropped by various nature scenes. Y’all are familiar with The Big Bang theory, right? Basically, everything the universe is now used to be this tiny dense (and extremely hot) entity. Then it kind of just went BANG! And the universe expanded, and – voila – we have our universe.

Soxx delivers a hungry take-over rhyme scheme, along with a sex-ed commentary they won’t give you in grade school: “It seems daddy’s semen had a blueprint.” Tee-hee.
