Sinister – Vocal Van Gogh [Audio]

Toronto, ON – Toronto MC Sinister just hit us with his latest release off his forthcoming project titled The Bar Father. This track is called “Vocal Van Gogh,” and it’s an all-senses-engaged experience. Sinister comes in over a darker melodic beat and brings his bars (he is The Bar Father, after all).

Anyways, he uses the track to parallel the craft of a rapper with the artistic skills of the great Van Gogh. Sinister lays claim to the title of “Vocal Van Gogh,” and uses this track to paint his own picture; using words, of course. The end result is a rap track portrait of the artist Sinister has become. Check it via YouTube after the jump.

Shoot, though. I’m a writer. So I love metaphors, and similes, and all that other warm fuzzy ish. So obviously I’m loving the direction this track is headed. A lot of cats call themselves artists – and then they proceed to spit the same bars over the same beats. It’s the rap equivalent of forging a painting. Sinister doesn’t play it like that, though. Can’t wait to see what he delivers on The Bar Father.
