The Bass6 – Lucid Dreams Vol. 13 (Labor Day Edition) [Mixtape]

Toronto, ON – Earlier on this week, The Bass6 production duo launched the thirteenth installation of their weekly Lucid Dreams mixtape series. This release coincided with Labour Day so the Bass6 made it a special fancy pantsy ‘Labor Day Edition’ mix. Which makes sense. Because Labour Day is all about the labour; the work. Y’all feel me? “Put in work/ Put in work/ Put in work/ Put ’em in the dirt.”

The Bass6 cats hustle hard. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: I’m always amazed when dudes are able to consistently follow through with releasing music on a weekly basis for more than a few weeks. It’s a rare occurrence.

The Bass6 - Lucid Dreams Vol. 13 [Mixtape] -

This mix is 30 minutes long and includes 11 hard-hitting tracks. Y’all should be very familiar with Tripp Sixx’s “Built Like That” (because I wrote about it over here). Shout-out to the Bass6 for giving “Ordinary” by G-Unit some love.

I was a little bummed that iLoveMakonnen didn’t make it on to this mix (unrelated side note: iLoveMakonnen just got signed to OVO Sound – dope, right?), but this week’s mix was all about the turn-up. Usually the Lucid Dreams mixes get a little suave and sexy in the middle. But this one is non-stop; it’s serious Labor Day Edition business. It all winds down with Drizzy, Future, and P Reign on “DnF.” And that’s probably how you’ll want to wind down after listening to this: “Get drunk ‘n f**k.”
