The Kickdrums – Echoes ft. DillanPonders [Audio]

Toronto, ON – Earlier on this month, The Kickdrums (which is actually one dude named Alex Fitts who sings and produces) launched his Echoes EP. And along with the EP release, he dropped the title track “Echoes,” featuring our very own Torontonian SmashMouth Music Group MC, DillanPonders.

“Echoes” is a track of serious psychedelic status. It’s new wave trip-hop-pop. And John, Paul, George, and Ringo would probably kick it to this. Alex Fitts is similar to DP in the sense that he can take his listeners on an audio drug trip. Check it below. Get that audio high. And cop a download of Echoes over here.

So two minutes deep into the track, we’re floating along with The Kickdrums. And then – BAM!! – DP comes in with that flow and hits us right in the solar plexus. This is a perfect joint for Dillan to feature on. Because drugs. Dillan boards The Kickdrums trip and delivers those druggy anecdotes you’ve come to know him for: “Zoned out in my living room/ With a bad bitch like Reese Witherspoon.”

He admits he hasn’t been the same since DMT (for the record – I asked the Internet about DMT and discovered that it is the most hardcore psychedelic drug around and is highly illegal, etc). And he reaffirms his full-time status as a lean, mean, drug-inhaling machine: “If you see me/ Then I’m probably seeing three.”
