Trillmatic – Duty Call (Prod. Deluxe) [Audio]

Calgary, AB – Calgary-based MC Trillmatic recently hit us with his debut single entitled “Duty Call.” Trillmatic is currently working on his debut mixtape, 11:11, following several years of working to hone his craft. Now he’s ready to deliver the goods. And this first single is a great way to debut.

On the real, though: y’all have no idea how much I appreciate a humble MC. Wait until you’re able to release something polished. That’s a solid way to introduce yourself to the scene. Then go H.A.M. from there, onwards. Check out the track below.

Right off-the-bat, Trillmatic establishes himself as a hungry up-and-comer. Not one of those angsty hungry cats, though: “Aint life beautiful/ I be on my duty call.” Word to that. Because life is beautiful. Then Trillmatic questions his fellow rap cats: “Tell me/ What you do it for?” And then he reaffirms that he’s doing to it answer his “Duty Call.” Bang, bang. Keep your ear to the street on this one.
