Dozie – Want What’s Mine ft. The Blue [Audio]

Calgary, AB – Last month, Calgary-based MC Dozie released a collaboration track with The Blue titled “Want What’s Mine.” This track is a remix of “BTSTU” by Jai Paul. It may sound familiar. A few cats have hopped on this beat. Because it’s such a fresh beat; it’s so smooth and vibed-out out. Anyways, this is also the second single off the debut Free Dozie mixtape.

Dozie is only 16 years old but he started rapping in the eighth grade. So he’s been at it for a couple of years. He’s already at the point where he’s trying to find a place for himself within the scene and he uses this joint to speak to that: “I play tough/ So I can lock the game down.” Check the track below and keep your ear to the ground on Dozie.

Shout-out to the homie The Blue for coming in and killing his feature verse. That line about about Harry Potter in the desert was very punny: “I’m Harry Potter in the desert/ Stuck in a dry spell.” Har har har.

I’ve been following The Blue for a few years and I’ve seen him establish himself on the scene. He pays it forward, though. Since The Blue is still so young, himself, he’s all about supporting the younger cats on the scene. Salute to that!
