Kiv – Stone Free ft. Ipkiss [Video]

London, ONKiv recently teamed up with Ipkiss for a collaborative video single titled “Stone Free.” Ipkiss is an Ottawa native. But he recently relocated to Woodstock. That’s right – Woodstock. It’s small, in comparison to Ottawa. But if you’re dedicated to your craft, you find ways to make it work.

So Ipkiss linked up with Kiv and the two put together this old-school bumpin’ hippie jam; which I’m going to put under a new hip-hop subcategory called “hippie-hop.” That could be a thing, right? The video was directed by Del Reze. Check it out after the jump.

“Stone Free” is a term that came about from that Jimi Hendrix track of the same name. It’s a reference to being completely uninhibited and free – and doing whatever you want. If you’re not feeling that, listen to the hook on this joint: “Stone free/ Do what I please/ Stone free/ Free to ride the breeze.”

Kiv and Ipkiss take us through their respective timelines: childhood, struggles, etc, etc, etc. And through it all, they’ve both reached a point where they’re stone free. They’re just chilling in the woods and spitting bars. It’s all good baby, bay-bee.
