Stefan The First – HTFU [EP]

Duncan, BC – Stefan The First’s debut HTFU hits you harder than a Bruce Lee roundhouse kick to the face. The formula is straightforward. The beats are simple yet ultra dynamic and lay the foundation perfectly for Stefan’s rapid fire, machine gun delivery. Like a drill sergeant about to bite your head off, Harden The Fuck Up demands your attention. Smarten up, soldier.

One word? Technical. The man puts on a clinic in precision emceeing. His flows pulls your along weaving in and out of the beat and then all of a sudden he’ll switch to double time without losing a syllable or more importantly – your attention. The projects 5 tracks address Stefan’s fast-paced lifestyle while keeping his determination and work ethic in check. Reflecting on his poignant past, he reminisces on overcoming personal hardships while conveying his new-found optimism for life in his lyrics.

HTFU is solely produced, engineered, recorded and mixed by hip-hop newcomer and long-time rock percussionist, Marcus Manhas (Band Of Rascals). Coupled with professional mastering by critically acclaimed producer/engineer Dan Weston (SonReal, Shad, Classified, City and Colour) and a proverbial head-nod from Stompdown Killaz’ Capital Q, Stefan and Marcus are set to hit the ground running.

If this is just the beginning for these two… Jesus Murphy. Look out. You can stream / download the project after the jump.
