Bowie & Shake – What You Got ft. M.I.M.E. [Audio]

Ottawa, ONOriginally published November 2, 2014 – Producers Bowie and Shake just hit us with their latest single release titled “What You Got” (featuring M.I.M.E).

This track starts off pretty hard. M.I.M.E has an aggressive, raspy delivery. So you might think this track is shaping up into some heavy underground joint. But it’s not. This track is actually a total club banger. Check it via YouTube after the jump.

Thirty-five seconds into the track, the build-up starts. And you’ll find yourself waiting on the drop. Like, where that drop at? Then M.I.M.E. says: “Why don’t you show me what you got?” and the beat drops. And the track turns up.

Bowie and Shake roll with a hard-hitting trap beat for the duration of the rest of the song. And M.I.M.E. switches up his flow throughout – which is mad impressive. He keeps it fresh. I definitely thought there was a mysterious elusive additional featured MC on the track when M.I.M.E came in on that second verse going like 546,766,543 bars per minute.

And even though the whole “show me what you got” part of the track is directed at someone else – it totally speaks to the work that Bowie, Shake, and M.I.M.E. put in to creating this end-product. They’re showing us what they’ve got.
