Brandon Taylor – Lift Off (Remix) [Audio]

Calgary, AB – Calgary’s own Brandon Taylor just hit us with a remix he did to “Lift Off” by Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Beyonce.

BT’s gotten like 200 per cent more confident since the last time he hit us with new music. He gives us a bit of dialogue near the beginning of the track to clarify things: “I’ve been writing songs for so long/ I feel like I needed to just rap again/ You know?/ Just go in on a beat like I used to/ So that’s what we’re going to do.” And then he goes off.

BT delivers boatloads of flex on here. He’s sipping Henny, he’s feeling on top of the world, he’s trying to devour his fellow rap cats. And did he just say he was going to “Aquafina that vagina”? Yes – I believe he did. He said it twice: “Aqua-FEE-nah that va-GEE-nah.”

Who is this dude and what has he done with Brandon Taylor? This is a very different look for him. Don’t worry, though. The self-deprecating Brandon Taylor y’all are familiar with resurfaces at the end of the song to keep things from flexing too hard: “So whether you’re hating or whether you’re supporting me/ Just know that you can’t stop me.” And then Brandon pauses… “I thought that was going to sound cooler. Nevermind.”
