Moyst – Freaks [Video]

Mount Pearl, NL – Back in November, Newfoundland-based rapper Moyst released visuals for his track titled “Freaks” off Decorum. This track is some serious dark underground business. Moyst fesses up to his freak status, and delivers a raw realness video that’ll leave you feeling like a bit of a freak, too.

Dude has a monster fast flow that hits like 543,654,129 bars per minute. He also has a knack for doing some freaky ish. See exhibit A: the soaker tub is filled with Fruit Loops. Just as you start to take in the fact that the tub is filled with f**king Fruit Loops, Moyst delivers his opening line: “Aint nothing but freaks in here.”

I want to send out a very special shout-out to the homie Vater for keeping me in-the-loop on the East Coast rap scene right now. Salute! Now check the video after the jump.

Moyst - Freaks [Video] -

Using a rapper name like “Moyst” almost guarantees that this dude is going to get under your skin a bit. Why is that? Because “moist” is one of the most uncomfortable words that ever happened. So this video might make you feel a little creepy crawly – but it’ll also force you to come to terms with the fact that you’re probably a freak, too.

Here’s how it all goes down: this is actually a hardened depiction of what happens when a bunch of homies get smoked out together. Bro-bonding over drugs usually ends with a bunch of giggly guys staring at a fruit bowl and laughing, or something. But this video is a lot cooler than that. I mean – the Fruit Loop tub is genius. Then there’s a really graphic beating on a teddy bear. And then there’s homie in the zebra-print bathrobe (for the record – I’m not entirely sure it’s a bathrobe; it could very well be a blazer, or something else). Stay freaky, my friends!
