Sport Mathews – Moment To Moment [Audio]

Toronto, ON – The recently formed Sport Mathews trio (MC-producer Malfunction, along with producers Mateó Reyes and Joe Davola) just released their first single, “Moment To Moment,” off their debut self-titled album. Check it out.

All of the dudes in the trio are producers. So it’s no surprise that they deliver one serious beat as a foundation for the joint. It’s a suave panty-dropping jazz beat. If you have a short attention span, you might not make it through the entire 5:43 duration of the song. But if you’re looking to use this track to help you get between the sheets with a special somebody, you’ll probably get there by the end of the joint’s intro… like not even thirty seconds into the track. It’s that smooth. I mean – that saxophone, though.

For the record – the track’s lyrics aren’t particularly sexy. If you listen to the words, it’s not that kind of song. The sexiness all comes from that monster beat. But if you take in what’s being said, you’ll note that the song is actually about living life moment-to-moment and making the most out of the cards you’re dealt. It’s about the hustle and the hunger that drives most rap cats in the game: “For the love of it/ Got to make this money/ And f**k a bitch/ It’s how it go/ Keeping it 100 is all a n**ga know.”
