About Jahbez

Via ReverbNation

Not bound to any shape or design Jahbez is truly one of a kind. A high energy, versatile artist who enjoys breaking through the challenges set before him.

As a high school student Jahbez displayed interests of being a rapper by writing lyrics and performing them at talent shows. With his focus on music, creating original material was the next goal, which meant he would need original production. Although he knew of a few producers, he wasn’t met with much help from them. Thus, it was then and there that he decided to learn how to produce his own music. With patience, motivation and determination Jahbez excelled at his new found craft, which gained interest from local artists who were now hiring him for his services. In addition, this led to the formation of his own rap group while working at local studios as a producer.

After high school Jahbez enrolled at Harris Institute for the arts to broaden his understanding of the music industry. During his studies he was exposed to recording and engineering techniques which he quickly added to his skill set. As a result, not only was Jahbez producing, he was now recording and mixing songs for artists.

On the other hand, despite being zealous and passionate business began to slow down and finances became a major concern. Hence, when an opportunity arrived to move and work in Fort McMurray, Alberta Jahbez accepted the offer and left all things behind. Once again patience and motivation made it a great opportunity for Jahbez to rebuild and focus solely on his artistry. Utilizing all the skills he had learned, supported with the money he was earning, he created a campaign selling numerous merchandise for his 1st single “Fort Make Money” which aired on local radio. In that same year Jahbez also released over 40 songs on YouTube, which was an incredible accomplishment as he was consistently working 12 hour shifts throughout the year 2011.

Even with these achievements, Jahbez began to face a new challenge in 2012, which was adding visuals to his music. With the urban music scene booming in Toronto he headed there in search of a video director. Within a month he found one and immediately started working on scripts and video treatments. 2 months later he was now on set of his 1st music video titled “Malvern” and in just a month’s time Jahbez was watching his very own music video on the internet. Since then Jahbez has produced a 2nd music video called” Toronto” and released his 1st mix tape titled ” Patriotic.”
There is no doubt Jahbez is on his way to destiny! In fact it’s only a matter of how high will he go.
