Toronto, ON – Toronto’s own Logik Dat Lad recently teamed up with Flex The Antihero to hit us with a new single titled “On The Come Up.”

The two MCs get in over some of some jazzed-out head-bumping Junia-T production to hit us with an anthem for all the hungry rap cats on the come up. Check it out below.

Unlike the rough-edged diss bangers that seem to be choice to many hungry up-and-coming MCs, this joint is a breeze. I’m ‘a credit a lot of that to Junia-T’s production because that beat bodies vibing out. Logik kicks off the the first verse and Flex comes in on a feature for the last verse. And I’m a huge Flex fan – for the record.

This track reminds me a bit of grade school – there were the self-proclaimed “cool kids” who actually weren’t that cool because they had to tell everyone they were cool. Then there were the kids who actually were cool because they just were; they didn’t need to flaunt it or tell anyone about it, or call out their peers on diss tracks… You feel me? It was just a known fact that those kids were cool.

Logik, Flex, and Junia-T are the kind of dudes who you just know are cool: “I was told that the road to success was never paved/ And let it go/ For all that I know/ Today could be the day/ So I gotta find a way to watch the story unfold/ Yeah we on the come up.”
