Bareknuckle Beats fundraiser brings together local artists on June 13 [News]

Vancouver, BC – We’re very proud to announce our participation in sponsoring the Bareknuckle Beats fundraiser for Aprons For Gloves contestant Zoe Peled on June 13th at Fortune Sound Club.

Founded in 2012, Aprons for Gloves Boxing Association is a non-profit organization focused on providing community outreach through the sport of boxing. Based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, the organization was developed by a small group of professionals and entrepreneurs who seized an opportunity to re-establish a historic boxing program for at-risk women and youth. The program offers free mentorship and training to individuals who may otherwise not have the resources or support to participate in such activities.

The fundraising event is an early, pre Sup Fu? event featuring local artists Northwest Division, Arami The Corrector, Ashleigh Eymann, Attikus, ChillGod, Dkay, Jakub Evolved, JDennis, J. Dohe and Omar Khan. The first 100 ticket buyers will receive a complementary Cariboo Brew and all proceeds will be donated to Peled’s Aprons For Gloves campaign. Tickets can be purchased online here and more info can be found at apronsforgloves.com.

Kassandra has her hands in several cookie jars. Born in Ontario but raised on the West coast, she is currently located in the wonderfully diverse East side of Vancouver. With a passion for all things creative KassKills is a hair stylist by day and HipHopCanada's West Coast Regional Editor by night. Music and public relations are her true passions and although she didn't inherit the talent of her musician father she makes her mark on the industry through other avenues. By night you can catch KassKills at almost every Vancity hip-hop show, shaking hands and snapping photos while covering and supporting the local music scene. On top of that she works closely with one of the cities most reputable concert promotors, Timbre Concerts. Kass is a hustler by nature and works hard to play a key role Vancity's hip-hop scene. Over the years she has seen, photographed and interviewed many of hip-hop's top artists such as T.I, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, Noreaga, Black Milk, Waka Flocka, Ab-Soul & Dizaster.
