Veteran producer/MC Phakt represents for the “East Coast” with Rob Parsons-directed video

Saint John, NBPhakt is a legend in Atlantic Canada. Residing in Saint John, New Brunswick, Mike Washington came to Halifax and ran through every MC in the 2003 DJ Olympics MC Battle. It earned him the title of DJ Olympics MC Battle Champ which he held for the 3 years before retiring a champion due to competition rules. During those 3 years he built his name in the East and was part of the record label CTG Records. After a few videos, things kind of died down for Phakt and he eventually moved back to New Brunswick.

Recently, he dropped an album with Monark out of Fredericton, he’s become a proud father and is now getting things back on track and into the studio. The Vokab-produced “East Coast” is a sure sign that he’s got some great new heat on the way for 2016. Check out the Rob Parsons-directed video after the jump link below.

Phakt’s Figure of Speech EP, which features a remix to “East Coast,” is available for purchase on iTunes.
