There’s More: Ace Autumn makes strong debut with VinnyxProd & Kevin Fortune-produced EP

Toronto, ON – The amount of new talent popping up in Toronto lately has been impressive, to say the least. Up-and-comer Ace Autumn has music on his SoundCloud dating back to March 2012, but he really comes into his own with his new EP, There’s More, produced by VinnyxProd and Kevin Fortune. As far as we can tell, it’s his first actual release in the form of a project. The 5-track EP features Ace speaking on his lifestyle and his determined come-up in the music industry; mocking fake rappers for their shortcomings and boasting about his lyrical capabilities.

There’s More has a mostly upbeat vibe with dark undertones brought out through Ace’s outlook and delivery. The Kevin Fortune-produced “Basements,” is the deepest point of the project as he reflects on his upbringing and the appreciation he holds for his mother for putting a roof over his head. On “I Know,” Ace slows it down a bit to have a heart-to-heart with his girl, while his fast paced flow builds steadily throughout the record, meshing perfectly with the VinnyxProd beat in the process. Overall, some really introspective material that gives you some insight into what it’s like to be Ace Autumn. Hopefully there’s more to come.
