Sean Leon fires back at Jazz Cartier on “FAV RAPPER / HUNDRED MILLION RELIGION”

Toronto, ONOriginally published Dec. 11, 2016 – Gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated upcoming Black Sheep Nirvana project, Sean Leon just surprised us with the release of a new record that opens fire on Jazz Cartier titled “FAV RAPPER / HUNDRED MILLION RELIGION” (produced by Bijan Amir).

The second part of this track (“HUNDRED MILLION RELIGION”) initially premiered over Instagram as the first half of “HUNDRED MILLION RELIGION/ NEW MONEY”. But then Jazz Cartier released his own record titled “New Religion” (which seemed very similar and very coincidental), and Sean got really pissed about it.

This track intros with “FAV RAPPER”, which starts off with a distorted audio sample of Jazz talking: “Sean Leon is… is probably one of the stronger artists out of Toronto right now.” Then he digs in with a slaughter of a first verse with bars that cut everywhere from Jazz’s label relations, to how Jazz acts out in public: “You the type to see me out in public/ Give me daps and love and then be hating after/ I’m ‘a f**k you like your label f**ks you/ A little n**ga telling tall Tales.”

You need to hear this three-parter from Sean Leon titled

Here’s the TL;DR of the Jazz and Sean beef: They worked on “Above The Rim” together. Sean didn’t like how it turned out and dissed Jazz on Twitter. He also called Jazz a “bitch boi” on his Tumblr. And while Jazz stayed really subtle in his responses, it seems like his two most recent releases “Pree” and “Waste” are subliminals aimed at Sean and the Get Home Safe Crew.

And by the looks of things, Jazz Cartier has already scoped this track and made his reply. Except Jazz took a huge L on this one for how he responded. He responded via Twitter with the Drake quotable from “Charged Up.” Ugh. Why he gotta do that? That’s actually the worst. Pray to the rap gods that Jazz lays off the Twitter fingers and fires back with a proper response track.
