Teff Hinkson teams up with Way Cool producer DviousMindZ for “Headshot”

Toronto, ON – With roots in Barbados, Teff Hinkson is making the move to infiltrate the North American music scene. Most notably, in 2016 he was the first Bajan-born rapper to move into the international market. He’s had his hands in all aspects of the music industry, and got his start in college when he cultivated Gorilla Marketing, a social media marketing company based in Barbados which received nation-wide recognition.

Teff has released two singles since branching into the North American “WDWFTS,” and “So Insecure,” which features Gallest (Rihanna’s brother). But it’s his most recent release “Headshots” which might help him make his final transition to reaching the overall North American audience.

The track is produced by WayCool’s DviousMindz, who is credited with helping a few other emcees receive international recognition in past months. The single showcases Teff’s authentic sound (and the subtle dancehall influence), while also remaining true to the trap-inspired style of North American rap which is full of heavy bass. The combination is a sound that will resonate, and the sly references to Lebron James and Kyrie Irving make it relevant.

Stream “Headshots” below, and keep your eye out for more from the Barbados artist.
