Stevie Ross’s debut Something In Wonderland just dropped and it’s worth checking out

Vancouver, BC – Although he shows promise as one of Vancouver’s budding up-and-comers, Stevie Ross is no novice in the scene. He’s been making music for over a decade, distributing his talents between singing, songwriting and producing and has finally come to some industry recognition with his debut release. Ross has been low-key with his musical approach, over 2016 dropping a few gems on Soundcloud and lending a stunning feature to bsharp label affiliate Brevner’s BREVNER EP but his debut project Something In Wonderland speaks volumes in setting him apart from his peers.

Vancouver artist Stevie Ross just released his debut album Something In Wonderland and it's worth checking out -

Ross strolls an alternate avenue with his recent collection of tracks. Something In Wonderland is not a hip-hop album. It’s a new-soul, feel-good project filled with depth, honesty, an overall charismatic vibe and a touch of pop appeal. Recorded five years ago with the help of producer Aaron Hamblin, Ross showcases his unflawed writing skills and effortless delivery throughout the seven track project. It’s hard not to adore his heart-on-your-sleeve approach with lyrics like “I might seem down on my luck but it’s only ’cause I’m down on my buck / Just know I’m a soul who’s intentions are good / I’ll gift wrap the globe, I’ll give you the world” from the album’s lead single “Gift Wrap The Globe.”

Something In Wonderland is a soundtrack to the good guy’s journey through life and love and Stevie Ross successfully bares tracks that hit you right in your soul. Exactly where he intended. Check out Something In Wonderland on iTunes here and Apple Music.

Kassandra has her hands in several cookie jars. Born in Ontario but raised on the West coast, she is currently located in the wonderfully diverse East side of Vancouver. With a passion for all things creative KassKills is a hair stylist by day and HipHopCanada's West Coast Regional Editor by night. Music and public relations are her true passions and although she didn't inherit the talent of her musician father she makes her mark on the industry through other avenues. By night you can catch KassKills at almost every Vancity hip-hop show, shaking hands and snapping photos while covering and supporting the local music scene. On top of that she works closely with one of the cities most reputable concert promotors, Timbre Concerts. Kass is a hustler by nature and works hard to play a key role Vancity's hip-hop scene. Over the years she has seen, photographed and interviewed many of hip-hop's top artists such as T.I, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, Noreaga, Black Milk, Waka Flocka, Ab-Soul & Dizaster.
