Find A Way: Neon Dreams win Canadian Music Radio Award, shine at Juno Week
Halifax, NS – New chapters in the phenomenal success story of Neon Dreams continue to be written at a very rapid rate. At last week’s Canadian Music Week (CMW) in Toronto, the Halifax-based band won a Canadian Radio Music Award in the ‘Best New Group Dance/Urban/Rhythmic’ category, for their hit track “Marching Bands.”
The unsigned Neon Dreams emerged victorious against industry heavyweights PARTYNEXTDOOR, Shaun Frank, and Tory Lanez in the category, confirming the impressive inroads they have made in a short time.
Earlier in April, the group made a major mark at Juno Week in Ottawa. Their hectic schedule began with intimate performances on the Juno Express from Toronto to Ottawa, and included five other shows. Their most prestigious appearance was at the Gala Dinner, where they got to perform “Marching Bands” with Kardinal Offishall for the first time.
There’ll be no resting on their well-deserved laurels for Neon Dreams though.
Their eye-catching MuchFact-backed video for “Find A Way” has just premiered on MuchMusic, and a top 40 remix of the track featuring fellow CRMA nominee Sarah Mark will be released to radio May 2.
Neon Dreams are looking ahead to a series of summer dates across the country. One highlight is sure to be their coveted slot opening for global superstars The Chainsmokers at The Calgary Stampede July 9.
“As an emerging band, we couldn’t ask for a better opportunity than to open for one of the world’s biggest acts at one of Canada’s best festivals,” says Frank Kadillac. “We can’t wait to share the stage with them.”
The exciting and dynamic sound of Neon Dreams in performance has been a key ingredient in their success. “We feel our live show gets better with every performance and hopefully that feeling is shared with our audience,” stresses Kadillac. “Nothing compares to the energy you feel performing new music in front of a live crowd.”
