Toronto up-and-comer Frē Harrow releases EP debut, Backflips over Billboard
Toronto, ON – From the very mention of the name Frē Harrow, it’s hard not to be intrigued even further. What’s with the line over the ‘e,’ anyways?
Pronounced as Free, Harrow’s name only begins to scratch the surface of a very interesting soundscape that he remains exclusively responsible for.
Frē Harrow has been producing, writing and recording his own music for more than a decade almost entirely on his own. After taking some extended time away to better perfect his craft and network with industry heavy-hitters, he has released a project that is sure to please new and existing listeners alike.
Backflips over Billboard is a 7-song EP in which Harrow has taken popular billboard-charting hits from the realms of hip-hop, R&B, and pop music and created fresh, original songs with innovative twists in terms of content and musical style.
Originally considered trap music, T-shirt by Migos has been countered with a soulful vibe and alternate musical contrast that Harrow has titled Ball. Post Malone’s Congratulations has been transformed into a seductive ballad with elements of White Iverson and Drake’s Fake Love. With the addition of skits and supplementary production throughout, this mix-tape plays more like an album as each song flows to the next, telling a charming tale of maintaining balance between the desire for women and the need to focus on musical pursuits.
After a listener has completed the playlist, they can look forward to even more music from Harrow, as he has a lengthy library of original music he is eager to release. If Backflips over Billboard is any indication, don’t be surprised if he elevates himself into the conversation alongside prominent Canadian artists
For now, take in “Backflips over Billboard” and stay tune for more from this young talent.
